JOHN CARTER MOVIE TRAILER
Disney has released the first movie trailer of John Carter, the upcoming fantasy adventure movie directed by Andrew Stanton:
“I’m not in post-production — I’m in digital principal photography now, which goes on for the rest of 2011, so I’m only halfway through the movie… I didn’t try to make it look like anything else. I really tried to make it its own thing. I tried to make a very historically accurate Martian film if that makes sense, so I’ll let you decipher that.”
_Director Andrew Stanton

A very historically accurate Martian film? I guess it means the movie will be faithful to the spirit of Edgar Rice Burrough’s novel… so don’t expect Mars to be a red desert, but rather a lush jungle. What do you think?
We've got our hands on the first official movie trailer of John Carter aka John Carter of Mars: Judging from this trailer the John Carter movie is going to be a gorgeous epic adventure. I'm impatient to see the whole film.

“From Academy Award-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes ‘John Carter’–a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). ‘John Carter’ is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present.

The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.”
The movie John Carter of Mars will be released on June 8, 2012.
