Dark Knight Rises, Batman 3

Storyline:

Same bat channel, new bat time. Warner Bros. isn't about to let little detals like no title, no production start date and no locked-down plot stop it from setting up a tentpole, as the studio today announced a July 20, 2012, release date for the third installment of the rebooted Batman franchise. Christian Bale will be back in the cowl under the direction of Christopher Nolan. With the release date now set, Nolan is currently hashing out a story for the Dark Knight followup, which already faces some steep competition. Also headed to the big screen in 2012: The Avengers (May 4), Battleship (May 25), Star Trek 2 (June 29), and what will likely be the Bat's biggest competition: the Spider-Man

Batman fans have been longing for a sequel to the Dark Knight since the first day it was released. Well now the sequel is definitely under way, Director Christopher Nolan just revealed the official title of Batman 3: the movie sequel to the Dark night is going to be titled The Dark Knight Rises.

Unfortunately it won't be in 3D, but I guess Christopher will at least use IMAX cameras for a few scenes.

The main villain of the Dark Knight Rises movie hasn't been announced, but Nolan did rule out Mr Freeze and the Riddler. Because of the similarity of the new sequel's title with the previous film, some are speculating that Two Face may show up again (wouldn't be such a feat for him to rise from the dead, it's indeed something pretty common in the universe of comic books). But well, that's still speculation as of now, and how to explain the casting of Tom Hardy for a lead role, and the fact that they're also looking for a female lead?

Well no need to speculate further about the main villain of the Dark Knight Rises movie, he or she will be announced soon enough.

It's now official: Bane will be the main villain in the Dark Knight Rises, aka Batman 3. Actor Tom Hardy got the role. Judging from his previous starring role in the movie Bronson, I totally agree with this choice: he's definitely fit for the job, he will be amazing as Bane.

We also know that Actress Anne Hathaway is on board the project as Selena Kyle. But it's not confirmed yet if we'll get to see her as Cat Woman.

Feels like the next villain could well be Harvey Dent Two Face (Aaron Eckhart). Who told you he’s dead? Anyway, don’t you know that it’s not uncommon to rise from the dead in the world of comic books!

NO JOKER IN BATMAN 3

Director Christopher Nolan recently talked about the movie Batman 3 and he ruled out two potential villains saying that their costumes are too fancy: neither Mr Freeze nor the Penguin will show up. Christopher Nolan also dismissed the Joker’s character in Batman 3, he said he wouldn’t feel comfortable (because Heath Ledger passed away)…

As a result the rumor about the Riddler as the main villain in Batman 3 keep getting stronger.
There’s no official plot yet for Batman 3, we don’t even know who’s going to be the next villain, but at least we now have a release date: the movie Batman 3 is set to be released on July 20, 2012. Well that’s the studios’ tentative schedule. So it may change…

BATMAN 3 SCRIPT

Scriptwriter David Goyer has left the TV series Flash Forward (what a useless show!) to work again with Jonathan Nolan (Christopher Nolan’s brother) on the the script of Batman 3. It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but Director Christopher Nolan will most likely direct Batman 3 and should start to work on this third Batman movie once Inception is released in Summer 2010. So David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan don’t have to rush to write the script.

Bane was born in the fictional Caribbean Republic of Santa Prisca, in a prison called Pena Dura (“Hard Rock”). When his father escaped from prison, the boy was forced to serve out his father’s life sentence, and thus Bane’s childhood and early adult life are spent in the amoral penitentiary environment. Though imprisoned, he’s eager to develop his natural abilities, reads as many books as he can get his hands on, builds up his body in the prison’s gym, and learns to fight in the merciless school of prison life. Bane ultimately establishes himself as the “king” of Pena Duro prison.

The prison’s controllers take note and eventually force him to become a test subject for a mysterious drug known as Venom, which had killed all other subjects. It nearly kills him at first, but he survives and finds the drug vastly increases his physical strength, although he needs to take it every 12 hours (via a system of tubes pumped directly into his brain) or he would suffer debilitating side-effects.

Years later, Bane escapes Pena Duro. His ambition turns to destroying Batman, whom he had heard tales of while serving his sentence. He is fascinated with Gotham City because, like the prison, it is a place where fear rules: in this case, fear of Batman. Bane is convinced that the demonic bat that haunted his dreams since childhood is a representation of the Batman.
