Paradise Lost 2012

Paradise Lost 2012 Movie

Storyline
An action-heavy take on the epic poem centered on the war in heaven between archangels Michael and Lucifer.
The epic war in heaven between archangels Michael and Lucifer will rage in this modern day thriller. The film is being developed as an action vehicle that will include aerial warfare, possibly shot in 3D.

Paradise Lost is scheduled to be made into an action film in 2012, directed by Alex Proyas and slated for release sometime in 2013. Bradley Cooper has been confirmed to be playing the role of Satan.
With 2012 set to be one of the biggest summers for film ever, and also the year coinciding with the turning of the Mayan calendar, it makes perfect sense to create Paradise Lost.

Paradise Lost is John Milton’s poem, depicting the battle of Heaven and Hell, which is going to ooze into Alex Proyas’ blockbuster. Proyas is the director of ‘I, Robot’ and ‘The Crow’ so expect big bold visuals with a slightly mature approach to the fantastical.

Here’s the first of the concept art, a teaser taste of what’s to come.
It’s nothing much, but it gives a slight sense of what’s to come. Bradley Cooper of ‘The Hangover’ and ‘Limitless’ is set to play Lucifer, with a release of Summer 2012, book yuour ticket for the end of the world.

Paradise Lost Movie
Director Alex Proyas is working on Paradise Lost, an upcoming fantasy action movie based on 17th century epic poem of the same name written by English poet John Milton. Alex Proyas's Paradise Lost is an action-heavy take on the epic poem which centers on the war in heaven between archangels Michael and Lucifer. The film is starring Bradley Cooper as Lucifer and Benjamin Walker as Michael. No official release date yet, but the film will likely be released sometime in 2012.

Here's a video of the panel on Paradise Lost during the 2011 Comic Con:
Plot
"Lucifer and Michael, God's greatest archangels, share the bond of extraordinary friendship until God produces his greatest creation: Man. Unable to remain subservient to God if it means bowing down to humanity, Lucifer begins his dark descent and is cast out – only to plot his revenge."

The Bible can inspire some quite entertaining content. But they'd better find the right budget for this film... Hell we don't want yet another cheap attempt to milk the Bible: B-movie special effects wouldn't do it!
Anyway, more information about the movie Paradise Lost as soon as details emerge.

Red Lights 2012

Red Lights Movie

Storyline
Centers on a psychologist Margaret Matheson, and her assistant Sally Owen, whose study of paranormal activity leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic.

THE RED LIGHTS BROKEN CITY DEMO The Red Lights are like an indie-rock diamond in the rough. This L.A.-based trio find inspiration in both '60s Brit-pop and '80s new wave and combine it with an indie-rock sensibility. The disc opens with the instant pleasure of "Cold Showers" and flows into "Sleep" (which opens with the clever line "I'm in love with nobody at all / Not a boy, not a girl, just alcohol." The only drawback is that this five-track demo doesn't capture how good this band sounds live (the lyrics are slightly muffled, the drum volume is up just a bit too much).

Regardless, this is still a gem, so keep your eyes peeled for this band. For a copy of this demo or more info, contact. -Jude Ruiz (Scratch Magazine)
The Red Lights Broken City (CD-R EP) These kids look like they've just walked off the stage of their local high school with their diplomas tucked in their back pockets. They look in fact like they might be the Bad Religion OC punk type of crowd. But boy, they certainly don't sound like it. So much for a picture being a thousand words. Their sound ranges from the excellent Wilco/Galaxie 500-ish opening track "Cold Showers" to the VU "Sunday Morning" type inflections of "Sleep".

This is a fucking cool laid back sound that I dig, total garage band style but not screamo by any means. They're no geniuses of chords or drumming (but I actually really dig the that ride-heavy drumming style) but boy are there some good songs here. Quite a bit of reverb on the vocals, but it fits the style quite well. "Howl Out The Moon" sounds sort of indie classic rock in that Big Star way, till it gets to the chorus where the guitars ring more modern. "Summer Clothes" is almost Doors-like in its approach where the band waits carefully through the whispered verses only to explode into the choruses.

They're barking up the right tree with this demo. Their pseudo-country rock mutations really hit home. Really refreshing actually. The Red Lights are a garage band that actually showcases their talents of guitar droning and tasteful singing. Instead of going for the cheap thrills of needless screaming and classic guitar soloing. Nice stuff indeed, thank you Andrew, Lex and Jesse.

The story follows a psychologist, and her assistant, whose study of paranormal activity leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic. The cast includes Cillian Murphy, Sigourney Weaver, Robert De Niro, and Elizabeth Olsen. There's no official release date yet, but we may hope a release in 2012.

Here's a first look at Robert De Niro in the movie Red Lights:
Plot:
"Red Lights" revolves around a pair of skeptical investigators (Sigourney Weaver, Cillian Murphy) on a mission to reveal practitioners of psychic arts as phonies, along the way they meet a world-renowned psychic (Robert De Niro)."

Robert De Niro as a psychic? Well, that's something I wouldn't want to miss! I definitely have to check out Robert De Niro's performance as a psychic when the film comes out in theaters.

47 RONIN 2012

47 RONIN Movie

Storyline
An 18th century set story centered on a band of samurai who set out to avenge the death of their master.
47 RONIN MOVIES
47 Ronin is an upcoming epic period samurai movie directed by Carl Erik Rinsch based on a script by Chris Morgan, the film will be shot n 3D. The story of the film is based on the true tale of a band of samurai swordsmen who avenged the death of their master in 18th century Japan. Actor Keanu Reeves will play one of the swordsmen. The movie 47 Ronin is set to be released on November 21, 2012.

A few words from Scriptwriter Chris Morgan about the plot of 47 Ronin:
"The 47 Ronin is a true story that took place around 1700-1701. It's a time in Japanese culture when it was all about the bushido code and honor, and putting internal things over external things -- swords that were made to be functional instead of ornamental, that kind of stuff. This turning point in the culture when that started to shift. Society started to be more about external kind of things. The story is about these samurai whose lord is killed in an unfair way."
Scriptwriter Chris Morgan

Morgan also added that the film will tell a stylized version of the story, mixing fantasy elements of the sort seen in 'The Lord of the Rings" films', with gritty battle scenes akin to those in films such as 'Gladiator' and '300'. So we may expect 47 Ronin to be a hell a movie.

Director Carl Rinsch is working on 47 Ronin, a period action movie set in 18th-century Japan. The film is starring Keanu Reeves. It will be released in theaters on November 21, 2012.

47 Ronin Trailer
A few words from Keanu Reeves about his role in the movie 47 Ronin:
“[The movie 47 Ronin] is in 3D. It’s kind of a western. I call it a story of revenge and impossible love. The samurai become ronin, outcast, and decide to enact revenge on the person who is responsible for the death of their lord. And I play an outsider, a kind of half-breed with a mysterious past named Kai, who’s in love with the princess and she’s in love with me, but we can’t be together. But during this journey and revenge, things change.”

Black Hole 2012

Black Hole Movie 2012

Storyline:
Joseph Kosinski and Sean Bailey, the director and producer of Disney's upcoming Tron Legacy, and screenwriter Travis Beacham are teaming up for a reinvention of the 1979 sci-fi film The Black Hole.

In the original, the explorer craft U.S.S. Palomino is returning to Earth after a fruitless 18-month search for extra-terrestrial life when the crew comes upon a supposedly lost ship, the magnificent U.S.S. Cygnus, hovering near a black hole. The ship is controlled by Dr. Hans Reinhardt and his monstrous robot companion, Maximillian.

But the initial wonderment and awe the Palomino crew feel for the ship and its resistance to the power of the black hole turn to horror as they uncover Reinhardt's plans, which involve turning his former crew into robots and flying through the hole. As they try to escape, a meteorite shower damages the ship, and the survivors hang on as they are plunged into the most powerful force in the universe, heading toward the blinding light that holds whatever eternity awaits them.

The details of the update are being kept secret, though the take does involve grounding the story in the science of a black hole, much more so than in the original. The 1979 film was a loose retelling of Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Black Hole Movie
Disney is planning a remake of the 1979 sci-fi movie Black Hole. The story is about the crew of a spaceship who finds a lost ship inside a black hole. Director Joseph Kosinski (who directed Tron Legacy for Disney) is set to helm the new Black Hole movie.

A few words from Joseph Kosinski about his take on Black Hole:
"We've got a really strong idea and concept for the film. The title alone has tremendous amount of potential. We've got a really talented writer on it named Travis Beecham. We're just getting started on the script in the next few months.

It won't be a sequel like Tron. This one will be a reimagining. For me, it would be taking ideas and iconic elements that struck me as timeless and cool and preserving them while weaving a new story around them that's a little more 2001.

I saw 'Black Hole' as a little kid. What sticks out most is the robot Maximilian. The blades and the vicious killing of Anthony Perkins. That freaked me out and that's definitely going to be an element that will be preserved. The design of the Cygnus ship is one of the most iconic spaceships ever put to film. From a conceptual point of view, we know so much more about black holes now, the crazy things that go on as you approach them due to the intense gravitational pull and the effects on time and space. All that could provide us with some really cool film if we embrace it in a hard science way."
  • Director Joseph Kosinski
Here's the movie trailer of the original Black Hole movie:
Disney has hidden a few Easter Eggs referencing to Black Hole in the latest comic-con trailer of Tron Legacy: not only a poster of the original Black Hole movie shows up, but there's also a small figure of a robot seen in Black Hole.

I guess it means Disney and Joseph Kosinski really want to do this remake of Black Hole. But we may have to wait to see this new Black Hole movie because Joseph Kosinski is a busy man...
Anyway, more information about the movie Black Hole soon!

BLADE 4 Movie 2012

BLADE 4 Movie

BLADE 4 MOVIE
Wesley Snipes reveals that he’d be up for starring in Blade 4 if the script was right. What does this mean for the spin offs reported on last year?
In the age of reboots, remakes and an insurmountable number of sequels to established franchises, we may yet have another.

According to the Arrow in the Head section of JoBlo, Wesley Snipes is interested in doing Blade 4 and I want him to do it. Underworld is getting a fourth movie, the Twilight Saga is getting two fourth movies, why not the most bad-ass (half) vampire as well?

Snipes specified that he was interested but would only do it if the script was right. What that translates to, is no more side-kick characters like the Nightstalkers of Blade: Trinity, played by Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel. That was a problem behind-the-scenes as they stole some of the precious spotlight away from the title character of the film, at least, according to Snipes.

Last year we heard some interesting news regarding the Blade franchise and it seemed that the plan was to go ahead with another trilogy, a set of spinoff prequels based on the character of Deacon Frost. Frost, played by Stephen Dorff, was the feature villain of the first Blade movie where he met his end. While Frost was a cool character, we need Blade.

Stephen Norrington, director of the first Blade, confirmed this to be the case and said he’d be returning to the franchise once he was done working on his remake of The Crow.

Not long after that news, David Goyer revealed that there was some talk behind the scenes about possibly doing another Blade movie. He didn’t specify any details and with his other major work lined up with bigger movies like Batman 3, I don’t know if he’d be involved with the writing of a fourth Blade even though he wrote all three, the television series pilot and even directed Trinity.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a return to form like the first movie where Blade is the sole lead character, Norrington is back directing and Goyer again writing. However, with the villains he’s faced so far in the series, I don’t know what direction he’d go in next unless they introduced the long-speculated Morbius storyline. It’s not like Sam Raimi will be using the character in Spider-Man anytime soon…

So, if there’s a chance of another Wesley Snipes-starring Blade movie, does that replace the Deacon Frost project that Norrington was developing?

Would you be up for a fourth Blade and what would it be about?

Actor Wesley Snipes has been talking about a Blade 4 movie:
“There has been some talk about a Blade 4. I would be interested if the script was right.”
But Wesley Snipes won’t necessarily have the lead role in Blade 4. I heard that Director Stephen Norrington and Scriptwriter David Goyer are rather thinking about doing a prequel that would focus on the character of Deacon Frost, who was played by Stephen Dorff in the first film, so Wesley Snipes’s role as the vampire hunter would be limited…

Well, time will tell! For now, Director Stephen Norrington is still busy with a remake of the Crow.
There have been talks about a possible new Blade movie since quite a long time. Director Stephen Norrington and Scriptwriter David Goyer were even thinking about doing a prequel that would focus on the character of Deacon Frost (played by Stephen Dorff in the first film) instead of Blade (Wesley Snipes)...

But fans are still hoping that Blade 4 would star Wesley Snipe as the lead character. Well, seems like this could happen since Wesley Snipes said he would be interested in doing it:
"There has been some talk about a Blade 4. I would be interested if the script was right."
  • Actor Wesley Snipes
He confirmed again his interest in doing Blade 4 during an
"Man, this has been coming up quite a bit. I'm really surprised to see how people are anticipating me doing another one, so you never know.

There are some things we really want to do that we didn't get a chance to do. The first and the second one were experiments, and we started to get better. If we do another one, it will reflect our maturity and our better understanding of the genre

[I'd like to see] a larger, multiracial cast, and it would be great to have some rehearsals before some of the action sequences."
  • Actor Wesley Snipes
Well let's hope the studios will Wesley Snipes and that the movie Blade 4 will be greenlit soon!
Well it looks like perhaps New Line has learned their lesson where Blade is concerned… namely that the Blade franchise is all about Blade, not hot, young sidekicks however well acted and funny they may be. David Goyer of course doesn’t agree, so according to a rumor being run by the folks at MoviesOnline.ca, he’s out the door for a proposed Blade 4.

Yep, word is that despite word to the contrary a few months back and lackluster reception for Blade Trinity, Blade 4 is happening. According to their scooper, Snipes was already signed for another movie after Trinity, so if they are right and plans for the fourth film do go ahead, he’s probably a lock… unless he finally completely loses his mind and leaves the country or goes on a crazed killing spree. With Wesley you never know.

This is great news if true, I hated seeing Blade’s last cinematic outing be a mediocre movie where he’s minimized to a supporting character in his own film. Hopefully this also means New Line is scraping Goyer’s silly idea for a spinoff featuring Hannibal King and Whistler II as a way to avoid having to work with Snipes again.

Of course this is all still rumor, so keep checking back here till we pop up with some confirmation. That was a tease to keep you coming back even though I know as well as you do there probably will be none any time soon. Hey, click some banners too!
Blade, now a wanted man by the FBI, must join forces with the Nightstalkers to face his most challenging enemy yet: Dracula

Wesley Snipes returns as legendary vampire hunter Blade in this, the third film inspired by the popular Marvel Comics character. A fearless warrior immune to vampires, Blade (Snipes) has become a hated enemy of the bloodsucking community, and as they gather in their desert compound, a group of vampires is plotting to eliminate Blade once and for all by turning the mortal community against him. The vampires have concocted a misinformation campaign that paints a picture of Blade as a ruthless murderer and has sent the FBI on the vampire hunter’s trail, led by the relentless agent Cumberland (James Remar). At the same time, the vampires have brought their founding father, Dracula, back to his undead state, renaming him Drake (Dominic Purcell) and investing him with special powers that allow him to walk unharmed in daylight.

After a dangerous encounter with Cumberland, Blade and his ally, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson), form an uneasy alliance with a scruffy team of human vampire slayers, the Nighstalkers, led by Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds), and Whistler’s daughter, Abigail (Jessica Biel. While Sommerfield (Natasha Lyonne), a biologist working with the Nightstalkers, researches a scientific answer to the vampire problem, Blade and his comrades take a more hands-on approach against Drake and his minions, including Danica Talos (Parker Posey), Asher (Callum Keith Rennie), and Grimwood (Triple H). Blade: Trinity was directed by David Goyer, who also wrote the screenplay for this film, as well as the first two movies in the series. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

The Raven 2012

The Raven Movie Release Date

Storyline
Hello guys here you will get 2012 The Raven Movie Story, Cast, Stars, Plot, Trailer, etc details news.
A fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, in which the poet is in pursuit of a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer's stories.
The Raven Movie
Actor Mark Wahlberg is interested in producing and starring in The Raven, a science-fiction thriller feature film based on the short film of the same name by Ricardo de Montreuil. Universal is involved in the project. They're now developing the script. There's no official release date yet, but they're likely to fasttrack the film.

Plot:
"In the future Los Angeles has become something of a police state. Chris Black possesses a power that could lead to the destruction of the current regime, and they will stop at nothing to destroy him. The chase is on as Chris runs for his life."
A quite impressive result knowing that this short film was produced on a shoestring budget with only $5,000!

The Raven definitely deserves to be turned into a feature film. I'm sure not Mark Wahlberg would be the right actor for the lead role though... He's getting old, and I'd imagine the fugitive to be young like in the original short film.

Anyway, let's wait for more details, it depends on the script they're writing after all. Besides Mark Wahlberg is a talented actor.

So stay tuned for more information about the Raven movie!

Riddick 3 2012

2012 Riddick 3 Movie

Riddick 3 Movie Synopsis
Plot of Riddick 3:
"Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Vin Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction."

The Chronicles of Riddick 3 should start to film later this year after Vin Diesel wraps shooting on Fast and Furious 5.
Riddick 3 Movie with Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel announced that there will be a new movie sequel to the Chronicles of Riddick! The official title of Riddick 3 hasn't been announced yet, but Vin Diesel did give a few plot details of Riddick 3:
"We're going to find Riddick alone for the first part of the movie, barely alive, surrounded by carnivorous monsters who are trying to eat him. So you'll see a futuristic Rambo-esque Riddick trying to survive.
[...]

David Twohy is scripting the next installment of Riddick as we speak, and it's underway. The story will return to a Pitch Black [sensibility] while servicing the mythology that's been enhanced in Chronicles of Riddick."
Actor Vin Diesel

Sounds like a great premise, but I kind of wonder why Riddick would have left the Necromonger throne...
Those concept-arts of Riddick 3 look promising.

David Twohy (who wrote and directed the first two films in the series, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick) will helm Riddick 3 based on a script he wrote. Let's hope they will really deliver a great sci-fi action movie!
Plot:
“In the upcoming third installment of the popular sci-fi franchise, Riddick get’s betrayed by the Necromonger army and is left for dead on a desolate planet. He has to fight for survival against alien predators and must deal with two squads of bounty hunters, who are coming after him to collect the bounty for the most wanted man in the galaxy.”

Love the concept arts glimpsed in this draft production trailer of Riddick 3!
“Early Riddick concept art… first frame of a 2D Motion Choreography Study.
Grrrr…
The Furian… left for dead..”
Actor Vin Diesel
This concept art seems to confirm what Vin Diesel previously announced on his Facebook wall regarding the plot of Riddick 3:

Well the project seems on a good track according to those tidbits that Vin Diesel shared on his facebook page:
“The Riddick script is completed… great job DT.” (November 7, 2009)
“The Riddick team is in New Zealand location scouting already… that’s exciting.” (December 1, 2009)

“P.s. The Riddick team has returned from New Zealand, and from the images, it’s no wonder why DT loved it… it’s like a director’s paradise.” (December 6, 2009)

__Actor Vin Diesel
I still wonder why Riddick would have left the Necromonger throne he won in Riddick 2. But I’m kind of happy to know that the franchise goes back to its roots and that Riddick hasn’t become fat king giving orders to his soldiers.

I wait with impatience for the movie Riddick 3!
VIN DIESEL RIDDICK 3
Riddick 3 has been officially greenlit by Universal Pictures. Of course Vin Diesel is back as Riddick. David Twohy (who wrote and directed the first two films in the series, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick) will helm Riddick 3 based on a script he wrote. The plot is still kept secret, but according to Vin Diesel we’re going to find Riddick alone for the first part of the movie, barely alive, surrounded by carnivorous monsters who are trying to eat him. So we’ll see a futuristic Rambo-esque Riddick trying to survive, which is closer in tone to Pitch Black the first film of the series. The film is likely to be released released in 2011.

  • For filming locations:
“Aside from New Zealand, Egypt has been added to the list of locations for the upcoming Riddick Film.”

Hope to get more information about the movie Riddick 3 soon!

Riddick 3 Starts Casting
After a few months of teasing and negotiating, it seems that the follow-up to Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick is finally up and running, with casting for what's so-far known simply as Riddick officially underway.

And with casting news comes character reveals. In the first round of auditions, director David Twohy and his casting director Anne McCarthy are on the lookout for "sexy female mercenary" Dahl, "smug commander" Krone, the undescribed henchman Santana (not Joey, as far as we're aware), and [POSSIBLE SPOILER] Boss Johns, who's the father of the Johns played by Cole Hauser previously, and who's apparently rather keen to learn what happened to his son on Hades.

Moviehole have seen a script of undisclosed age and draft, and are saying that Riddick is much more aligned with Pitch Black than Chronicles, making little or no mention of Furya or the (ahem) Underverse, and quickly dispensing with the business that saw Riddick as leader of an army of (ahem) Necromongers at the end of the last film. There's apparently a small role for Vaako, which might mean Karl Urban will be back for a cameo. And if that lot made us reasonably optimistic, we're slightly concerned at the mention of a twelve-year-old "Alpha Kid", who has magic powers and shiney eyes like Riddick's...

Vin Diesel is, of course, starring (after a bit of soul searching), and the start-date is currently supposed to be sometime in September. We're rather liking the concept art that Diesel revealed on his Facepage...

The Fighter 2 2012

2012 The Fighter 2 Movie

The Fighter 2 Movie
First revealed last March, Mark Wahlberg is interested in making a sequel to his 2010 hit The Fighter. Now, in a clip from the forthcoming Spike TV Guys Choice Awards (airing this Friday, June 10th), the actor reiterates that the project is moving forward.

"We left out the Aturo Gatti fights for a reason," Wahlberg announced, following the film's win for "Guy Movie of the Year," "Because that's for 'Fighter 2.' We're not going to do 'Fighter' 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, but we're gonna do 2. We're gonna do the Ward/Gatti trilogy."

In real life, Mickey Ward fought Arturo Gatti in three major fights beginning in 2002.

The Fighter swept the 2010 Supporting Actor nominations, landing statues for both Christian Bale and Melissa Leo. It is unknown at this stage who else might return from the original film, but, as you can see in the video below, Wahlberg is joined on stage by director David O. Russell. His involvement is likely at least as a producer.
We may expect a Fighter 2 movie. Actor Mark Wahlberg is indeed pushing for a sequel to the Fighter. He's really committed to the project: the actor is working out and keeping fit to reprise his role as the boxer Mickey Ward as soon as possible. A few words from Mark Wahlberg about why he's interested in doing a Fighter 2 movie.

"I weigh about 185. But it's still solid. Ready to throw down. I got bit by the bug, and now I'm trying to plant the idea in everyone's head that we should do — not five or six Fighters like Rocky — but one more because the big thing that Micky Ward was famous for was his three epic battles with Arturo Gatti. So we're talking about possibly taking one more run at it."

_Actor Mark Wahlberg
Here's the movie trailer of the first Fighter movie:
So as I sit here and read the news of Mark Wahlberg once again saying that he wants to do a The Fighter 2. He goes on to talk about how they have no plans to take this story and make it into a full blown Hollywood franchise by having a part 4, 5, 6 or 7; but a part 2 is something they really want to do.
Apparently, because boxing isn’t a sport that I’m that well versed in, Micky Ward, after becoming the welterweight title holder , eventually goes on to fight through a trilogy of bouts with the famous Arturro Gatti.

Now I’m not going to say that there isn’t a story to be told there, I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s always a story to be told and even the most mundane films can be very interesting if done correctly. However, when I look back at The Fighter even more than the story of Ward becoming the success I felt the real important aspect of it all was how he got there and how he eventually discovered how his family was what was holding him back. The drama of how the family, Alice (Melissa Leo), Dicky (Christian Bale) and his infinite amount of sisters were what was continually what was stopping him from being who he ended up becoming the moment he removed them from the equation.

The point of a sequel is to “one up” the original. How can taking all the family drama out of the movie and actually making it into a stereotypical sports movie where a training montage is what gets us to the climactic end battle be a good move for this story? As much as I have a soft spot for the underdog sports movie, I feel that this is a film that’s probably best untouched. Why go digging where there’s not much more to mine. Are we going to start joking about how Dicky isn’t on drugs anymore? I’m sure that they won’t be able to land Bale or Leo back at this point and it’s Wahlberg looking for another shot at the Oscar, and he won’t get it this time either.

ROCK OF AGES 2012

2012 ROCK OF AGES Movie

Storyline
A small-town girl arrives in Hollywood at the height of the 1980s rock-music scene.
This movie preview brings you the latest on Rock of Ages, which brings the thunder to filmed musicals. When I say ‘brings the thunder,’ I don’t really know what I mean. I’ve been saying it a lot lately. The film follows a couple who fall in love at a Sunset Strip rock club but are torn apart by their rock n’ roll lifestyle.

Rock of Ages is based on a book and adapted play by Chris D’Arienzo. The music of the film is taken from popular 80′s music, with bands such as Journey, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, and REO Speedwagon. Man, I can NOT wait to get the soundtrack.

And burn it.

I grew up during the age of Nirvana, which proved that all that crap in the 80′s was terrible. Pffh. Wanted: Dead or Alive? More like Wanted: Dead.

That sounded better in my head.
Rock of Ages Movie
The film is directed by Adam Shankman and is starring Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Tom Cruise, Malin Akerman, Mary J. Blige, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Bryan Cranston, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The Rock of Ages movie will be likely be released in theaters in 2012.

Director Adam Shankman (who brought us Hairspray) is working on a movie adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages for Warner Bros. He will direct and choreograph the a rock-themed 80s love story. It's confirmed that Actor Tom Cruise is on board the project: he will play Jaxx, who sings Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive" in the original theater musical. The cast is also likely to include Mary J. Blige, Gwyneth Paltrow, Russell Brand, and Alec Baldwin. The film is listed by IMDb for a release in 2012.

For those who don't know, Rock of Ages is a musical built around classic rock hits from the 1980s, especially from the famous glam metal bands of the decade. The musical features songs from Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison and Asia, among other well-known rock bands. Watch the video below to get a better idea of the whole thing:

Rock of Ages is being directed by Adam Shankman, who directed Bedtime Stories, Hairspray, and The Wedding Planner. I guess it’s good that he directed Hairspray, since that was another musical, but the other work does not inspire confidence. I don’t know if Hairspray inspires confidence, since I didn’t see it, but I assume people who like musicals about cross dressing loved it.
Plot:
"Rock of Ages centers on two people who meet at the Sunset Strip club Rock of Ages, fall in love and try to stay together amid '80s rock songs."

The original musical does rock like hell, but I'm definitely impatient to see the Rock of Ages movie, especially because Tom Cruise got a role. I bet the film will be even greater than the musical.

Anyway, more information about the Rock of Ages movie soon!

SAW 9 2012

SAW 9 Movie

Saw 9 Movie in 2012
Legends never die so we can fairly bet that a Saw 9 movie will be released for Halloween 2012. But will Actor Tobin Bell who plays Jigsaw be on board? Saw 8 is said to bring the final revelations. So I think it would be difficult to produced an other Saw movie in which Tobin Bell would be required... Lionsgate can't rely on flashbacks forever.

This is definitely a passer upper ladies and gentlemen; the only good part or originality found in my experience of it is where Chester from Linkin park appears. He plays a racist leader who has his entire back glued to the front seat of a car and he partakes in a group scenario where he must pull a leaver just on the other side a broken windshield.

It was gruesomely awesome to see him rip the skin off his own back in attempts to reach salvation and I actually laughed out loud in the theater room independently as the inevitable saw series outcome took place. As for the rest of the movie, it’s the same old thing with people being brutally killed. I’m most disappointed in the fact that no one in the core Saw scenario is ever saved. For viewers to pay and watch all of these people hopelessly being killed is a negative hopeful to wasted emotion roller coaster and I do not find it to be valuable in any sense of entertainment.

One of the reasons we decided on going to see this movie in the first place was because of its 3d renditions. Unfortunately though, the most enjoyable aspect of its detail that I noticed was actually a close up of a pipe valve in a hall way and all of the rest of attempts that Saw IV had at wooing it’s audiences with the new science of 3rd dimension capabilities were in my view, a failed attempt and a great way for viewers to waste a few extra box office dollars. In Saw IV all of the body parts flying in the air vanished so instantaneously that they resembled more of a subliminal short for Cialis rather than 3d entertainment.

3d should not be rushed or be instantaneous because there is no opportunity for us the audience to perceive and enjoy it. So in my view, Saw IV gets a big thumbs down and I’m ticked off that I spent an extra six dollars on a 3d bust. If they decide to make another sequel to this dying series and they want to go big with 3d, let’s go big correctly instead of encouraging that feeling of reaching for the pvr remote to rewind the bullet speed details.

So if Lionsgate insist on doing Saw 9, maybe someone will rise as a heir to Jigsaw's legacy? Someone with the same twisted mind? Saw 6 taught us that Jigsaw's "disease" is spreading, so I think this would the righteous path for the Saw movie franchise.

But it's gonna be hard to find the right successor to Tobin Bell / Jigsaw! Right now, I can't think of any actor who could really epitomize the Saw franchise... What about you any plot in mind for the movie Saw 9? Do you have an actor in mind that should be introduced as Jigsaw's heir in teh movie Saw 9.

YELLOW SUBMARINE 3D 2012

3D YELLOW SUBMARINE MOVIE

The Walt Disney Studios has made a deal with Apple Corps Ltd. to develop a new 3D performance capture adaptation of the 1968 hit animated film "Yellow Submarine" to be written and directed by Robert Zemeckis, it was announced today at the D23 Expo by Dick Cook, chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. The film will be created by ImageMovers Digital, Disney’s state-of-the-art performance capture animation studio operated in conjunction with Zemeckis and his partners, Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey, who will serve as producers on the project.

For this fantastic new voyage to Pepperland, Zemeckis will incorporate the16 Beatles songs and recordings from the original motion picture licensed from Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC and EMI-Capitol Records, respectively. The songs include “All Together Now,” “All You Need Is Love,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “With A Little Help From My Friends” while combining his unique vision and style to bring this dazzling tale to life.

In making the announcement, Cook said, “This is truly an inspired collaboration, and a wonderful opportunity to revisit one of the most imaginative and memorable musical fantasies of all time. To be working with the amazing folks at Apple Corps, and to have Bob helming the sub is truly as good as it gets. With all those incredible Beatles songs and imagery, the spectacular vision of Bob and his pioneering team at ImageMovers Digital, and a classic adventure full of wit and action, we’re sure that moviegoers are going to have a great time on this latest trip to Pepperland.”

Zemeckis said, “’Yellow Submarine’ is one of the greatest fantasy films of all time, and making this new 3D performance capture movie is a dream come true for me. With the latest advances in technology, we will be able to take moviegoers on a voyage unlike any other, and bring new excitement and dimension to Pepperland and the various sea worlds they encounter. I’m thrilled to be working with the good folks at Apple Corps and our partners at Disney on this epic retelling of one of my all time favorite films.”

Jeff Jones, CEO, Apple Corps Ltd., said, “With The Beatles and Walt Disney Studios, we have a partnership between two of the best loved creative entities in the world. We're very excited about the magical fantasy that will result from this collaboration. The marriage of the music of The Beatles with the talent and technical wizardry of Robert Zemeckis and ImageMovers Digital should produce something very special. We look forward to working with Bob and his team on realising his new vision for 'Yellow Submarine'”.

The original motion picture (released in the U.S. on November 13, 1968) based on the music of The Beatles was directed by George Dunning and featured the inspired art direction and design of Heinz Edelmann. The movie is set in Pepperland, an undersea paradise inhabited by music lovers who live in peace and harmony and are protected by Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. That is…until they are threatened by the music hating Blue Meanies. It’s up to John, Paul, George and Ringo to set off on a magical adventure in their yellow submarine and bring music and harmony back to Pepperland.

Dean Lennox, Adam Campbell, Peter Serafinowicz, and Cary Elwes will be lending their voices to the Beatles in the remake of the Yellow Submarine directed by Robert Zemeckis:
YELLOW SUBMARINE 3D MOVIE
Disney Studios has hired Director Robert Zemeckis to helm the remake of a Yellow Submarine announced that it will produce a 3D remake of The Beatles’ 1968 animation film Yellow Submarine. Pixar isn’t in charge: the film will actually be created by ImageMovers Digital, Disney’s state-of-the-art performance capture animation studio operated in conjunction with Zemeckis and his partners. The Yellow Submarine 3D movie will include 16 major hits of the Beatles as well as recordings from the original animated film.

A first look at the logo of the Yellow Submarine 3D, it was unveiled at Disney’s D23:

Watch below the movie trailer of the original Yellow Submarine movie: Co
There is a remake of Yellow Submarine ahead of us! Disney intends indeed to bring a breath of fresh air to The Beatles' 1968 animated movie which has since become cult. This new Yellow Submarine movie will use the latest technologies and will be produced in 3D, hence its title of Yellow Submarine 3D.

Director Robert Zemeckis has been hired to head the film development. But he won't be working under the aegis of Pixar as some may have hoped. Disney prefers to assign the project to ImageMovers Digital, Disney's state-of-the-art performance capture animation studio which is operated in conjunction with Zemeckis and his partners.

Disney has already unveiled a first promo picture of the Yellow Submarine 3D:
Robert Zemeckis is rather excited at idea of directing the Yellow Submarine 3D:
For this fantastic new voyage to Pepperland, Zemeckis will incorporate the 16 Beatles songs and recordings from the original motion picture licensed from Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC and EMI-Capitol Records, respectively. The songs include "All Together Now", "All You Need Is Love", "Eleanor Rigby", "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "With A Little Help From My Friends" while combining his unique vision and style to bring this dazzling tale to life.

That is… until they are threatened by the music hating Blue Meanies. It’s up to John, Paul, George and Ringo to set off on a magical adventure in their yellow submarine and bring music and harmony back to Pepperland.”

There will be some pressure on Zemeckis to get this remake right… So many fans would be pissed off if he wasn’t respectful of the source material!
Robert Zemeckis got a real challenge ahead of us: you can be sure that his remake of the Yellow Submarine will be compared to the original film! So he'd better deliver a movie at least as great as the original or the fans of the Beatles will spit on him!
Cast:
The 3D and motion capture work in Avatar may be the biggest cinematic talking points going right now but don’t forget about Robert Zemeckis. He’s been in the mocap and 3D trenches, and is moving forward with a remake of the animated Beatles film Yellow Submarine. The film will use mocap and CGI to recreate the hand-drawn animation of the original film, while a small collection of voices will stand in as the new Beatles. Meet the quartet after the break.

THR reports on the new cast assembled by Zemeckis, and it’s a mix of great and odd choices. Cary Elwes (George Harrison), Dean Lennox Kelly (John Lennon), Peter Serafinowicz (Paul McCartney)and Adam Campbell (Ringo Starr) are the quartet in talks to become the ‘new’ Beatles.
Serafinowicz is an impeccable choice, and I think I can buy Kelly as Lennon. I’m less sold on Elwes as Harrison and not at all certain about Campbell as Starr. In the latter case, I’m definitely prejudiced by his association with films like Epic Movie and Date Movie. As long as the voices work, though, it’ll be fine.

Remember that, for the most part, the Beatles didn’t provide the voices for their animated avatars in the original film. But for a couple of small segments, the Yellow Submarine fab four were imitators.

Making things more complicated, this voice cast will only provide voices. Mocap work for band performances will be performed by a tribute band called The Fab Four, and they’ll be miming to original Beatles tracks, sixteen of which will be used in the film.

Zemeckis wrote the script for this version of the story, but it is expected to essentially follow the original, in which the Beatles traveled to Pepperland in a yellow submarine with a soldier named Old Fred.

WORLD WAR Z 2012

WORLD WAR Z

Storyline
A UN representative, writing a report on the great zombie war, interviews survivors in the wake of World War Z.
Actor Brad Pitt has been spotted on the set of World War Z, the upcoming movie adaptation of the post-apocalyptic zombie novel of the same name written by Max Brook:

Earlier this week, Paramount Pictures announced a release date of December 21, 2012, for their adaptation of World War Z, making the movie's theatrical run official. While this had to please fans of the best-selling novel by Max Brooks that inspired the movie, the version that reaches the big screen may have plenty of audience members remarking: "You should have read the book."

Set years after a zombie apocalypse, World War Z (the novel) is a series of fictionalized conversations about the world's reaction to a zombie epidemic, serving as a social commentary on the world's preparedness (or lack thereof) to a threat of that magnitude. The novel was almost universally praised for its original take on the zombie premise, one that can often be turned into the same, stale product. According to the synopsis revealed by ShockTillYouDrop, the movie version may be just that — a movie — and that's probably not going to please the novel's rabid fanbase.

WORLD WAR Z MOVIE
Author Max Brook confirmed that there’s a movie adaptation of his bestseller zombie novel World War Z. Director Marc Forster (who directed Quantum of Solace) is set to helm the project Paramount Pictures. And Actor Brad Pitt will have a lead role.

World War Z, the post-apocalyptic horror novel written by Max Brooks, may well get a movie adaptation in a not too distant future: Paramount Pictures who won a bidding war back in 2006 for the feature film rights have renewed their option for a World War Z movie. So we're confident that the project will enter in production sooner than later. The film is currently listed for a release in 2012 on IMDb. Director Marc Forster is for now attached to the film and Actor Brad Pitt (he's already on board as producer) could well be part of the cast.

Plot:
“A researcher for the U.N. Postwar Commission interviews survivors from all over the world in order to put together a post-mortem on a war that destroyed every country around the globe. A war involving nasty flesh eating zombies…”

Word War Z makes for a thrilling read. Glad they’re going to bring this master piece to the big screen. I wonder if they’re going to keep the same structure though: the book is actually collection of individual accounts in the form of interviews of different characters. And along the story we get a better picture of the origins of World War Z and how it changed the world. I’d think it’s too much for just one movie, so I guess they will simplify the whole thing for the film.

They’re eying a Summer 2012 release for the movie World War Z.
"A researcher for the U.N. Postwar Commission interviews survivors from all over the world in order to put together a post-mortem on a war that destroyed every country around the globe. A war involving nasty flesh eating zombies..."

The book World War Z is a collection of individual accounts in the form of interviews with characters conducted by the author. Along the story we get a better picture of what happened and what led to new political order in post World War Z. Let's hope that the script of the World War Z movie won't deviate by too much from the book, and that it won't boil down to a collection of gruesome scenes.

Rambo 5

Rambo 5 Movie

Rambo 5 Plot
The production of a Rambo 5 movie has been confirmed via variety. Nu Image/Millennium Films has indeed greenlit this new Rambo movie, the fifth in the franchise, and most probably the last one. Sylvester Stallone will starring and directing.

The plot of Rambo 5 has also been revealed:
Rambo 5 Synopsis:
"Rambo 5 revolves around Rambo fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border."

Filming should start in Spring 2010, so the release date of Rambo 5 is most likely early 2011, or December 2010 if we are lucky.

Please take all the time you need while developing this movie: if Rambo 5 is closing the Rambo movie series it has to be the best Rambo movie ever!
Rambo V Movie
In the near future, illegal medical experiments in the Pacific Northwest have created this nearly indestructible creature of incredible cunning and savagery. It goes on a rampage through the ranks of the research stations.

To cover their blunder, the government sends out an elite team of special-operations warriors. The gang is led by John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran born out of time and the best tracker in the world. Meanwhile, U.S. marshals are on the trail of the secret and the cover-up, intervening in the action in an unexpected way.

Update : Stallone has just reported on his website that he may rework the script so he’s not fighting a monster/alien. Here’s the quote :
So what does this all mean? Looks like Rambo is either heading to Mexico or Canada to kick some ass, and the villain of the film is uncertain.
The rumor has spread that a fifth installment of Rambo is under negotiation!
Stallone should come back in Rambo 5.

According to Cinemablend the plot of Rambo 5 should be based on an alternative script Stallone wrote for Rambo 4, in which Rambo’s daughter is kidnapped by leaders of a - most-probably-satanic - cult.

I'm a real fan of Rambo and of Stallone's movie in general.
But well, I may but wonder how Stallone is going to star in a fifth Rambo.

I mean time's flying, there is no denying that Sly is aging (whatever suspect products he may use).

If the movie is not done in the next 2 to 3 years, Rambo's face will be quite different from what we were used to know...

Using extrapolation from past images besides state-of-the-art calculations with the help of Damien Canderle we are able to forecast the face of Sylvester Stallone in Rambo 5 (in case the movie is done in more than 2.5 years):
By extrapolating the evolution between the above pictures we can forecast the face of Sylvester Stallone in Rambo 5, was the movie filmed in more than 2.5 years:
Stallone, please for the sake of Rambo, please, please, hurry up to come to an agreement on Rambo 5 and let's launch the production of this fifth installment
Sylvester Stallone just confirmed to Extra, an entertainment magazine owned by Warner Bros, that a Rambo 5 movie is definitely in preparation, although still at an early stage:
"Yeah, we are doing another 'Rambo', but the conflict is whether to do it in America or a foreign country."
Sylvester Stallone

Sly will still be fit for Rambo V judging from this recent photo of Stallone at 62 years old!

Get ready for this Rambo V movie!

The boxer Rocky Balboa came out of retirement in Rocky 6, and it seems he doesn’t want go back to his peaceful life as restaurant owner. Sylvester Stallone told indeed that he would like to make Rocky 7! Legends never die, but time is catching up with Sylvester Stallone… I know he is still fit, but I’m not sure that over-extending the Rocky franchise is for the best…

I for one was completely against the idea of Sylvester Stallone doing Rocky 6 (aka “Rocky Balboa”). I thought it was just a pathetic attempt by a once influential actor to achieve relevance again. Well, for those of you who have read The Movie Blog for any length of time, you know I ended up LOVING Rocky Balboa. it was a perfect ending to the franchise. Beautiful and heart pounding at the same time. Brilliant work.

But it was OVER. It’s finished… the Rocky saga is done. Well… don’t tell MGM that. The studio is now saying that Rocky 7 is a possibility. The folks over at
Why would they do this? Where else can you go with Rocky? They’ve played his final card already. There is litterally nowhere for the sotry of Rocky Balboa to go anymore unless the movie is about Rocky using his retirement to enter the world of competitive poker playing.

Yeah… I can see it now. The movie revolves around Rocky at a World Series of Poker event. The movie climaxes with Rocky going heads up with Chris Moneymaker (who we learn in the movie is both a communist AND a nazi that takes steroids and keeps cards up his sleeves), yet against all odds Rocky prevails winning with just a pair of twos in his hand. An emotional Robert (Rocky’s son) runs up to the table to hug his dad and apologize for ever doubting him. Rocky, moved by his son’s display of family affection vows to be a better father, and Robert vows to be a better son. DA DA da-da-da da-da-da da-da-da DA DA da-da-da da-da-da da-da-da… and so on and so forth.

I liked Rocky 6 MUCH more than Rambo 4… but I could totally see another Rambo film with the way the left off the last one. Not so much a Rocky 7. It would be a horrible mistake.

Anyway, here’s what Sylvester Stallone said about the movie Rocky 7:
“I know I’ll probably make a fool of myself if I make another Rocky film after turning 60. Even my wife says, ‘Don’t do it. You’re embarrassing the kids’. But I told her, ‘If I don’t try I’ll be a really unhappy man’.
[..]
You have to do it. Artists like me have to go through the dark over and over again.
[...]
When I was 21 years old and at drama school, my teacher said to me, ‘If you ever put your head out there, thousands of people will try to cut it off, but that’s exactly what you need to do as an artist.’”
Sylvester Stallone
Will Rocky Balboa go sci-fi and use some rejuvenation process based on stem cells so he could compete again? Or is he just going to train a young heir?

I’m not much interested in watching Rocky 7, but I must admit I’m curious how it’s gonna turn out!
Rocky 7 Sylvester Stallone
Sylvester Stallone must have enjoyed to wear boxing gloves again because he's planning to make yet another Rocky movie sequel! He's been talking indeed about making Rocky 7. He would develop this project once he would have wrapped Rambo 5..

Ok legends never die, but come on, do we really need a new Rambo movie? Sylvester Stallone is still a damn strong guy, he would knock me out with just half a blow, that's sure... But one can't deny that he's getting old... Why would we want to watch an old dude on the ring? And that wouldn't be new: he did it already with Rocky Balboa (aka Rocky 6).

Well, here's what the iconic Sylvester Stallone said:
"I know I'll probably make a fool of myself if I make another Rocky film after turning 60. Even my wife says, 'Don't do it. You're embarrassing the kids'. But I told her, 'If I don't try I'll be a really unhappy man'.

You have to do it. Artists like me have to go through the dark over and over again.

When I was 21 years old and at drama school, my teacher said to me, 'If you ever put your head out there, thousands of people will try to cut it off, but that's exactly what you need to do as an artist.' I know it’s ludicrous and everyone would laugh. I would laugh about it. But I also know that I’d be successful if I can make this a film about becoming older, not about boxing but about myself."
Sylvester Stallone

So Sylvester Stallone isn't imbued with himself and he knows that he can't just remake an other Rocky 6. A movie about becoming older? Is he going to be coach? Or is he going to clean up some unfortunate neighborhood (like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino)?

If you're fan of Sylvester Stallone and his movies do you have any advice for Rocky 7?

SALT 2 Movie

Salt 2 Movie - Salt Sequel
There is an interesting thriller to be based on the latest developments in Russian espionage, but Salt, which reworks old cold war plots from The Manchurian Candidate, Telefon and No Way Out, isn't it. In this lacklustre movie, Angelina Jolie plays the brilliant CIA operative Evelyn Salt, who goes on the run after being denounced by a Russian defector as a long-time mole planted in the US as a child. The violence is relentless, the chases are ludicrous (thrice Salt escapes by jumping from one speeding truck to another on the Washington freeway) and the plotting preposterous.

The female-driven spy movie Salt starring Angelina Jolie is likely to get a sequel according to the Los Angeles Times. Yep get ready for Salt 2! Well, it comes as no surprise since the first film's ending was left wide open for a potential sequel. As of Mid-August the first film has already recouped its budget: the film has already cashed in $190 million for a production budget of $110 million. So it would make sense for Sony to greenlit a sequel: the character of Salt is now established and Sony would maximize its profits by building a franchise around her.

Scriptwriter Kurt Wimmer revealed he's got a few ideas for how to advance the story of Salt. Easy to guess that the movie Salt 2 would revolve around Evelyn Salt, now a fugitive, chasing other Russian moles planted in the USA or abroad.

Angelina Jolie would be glad to reprise her role for the movie Salt 2:
"I'd love to do a sequel. You never know if you're going to get the chance, if audiences are going to love it. But particularly with this character, I think there is so much yet to explore in her life with her - with her family, with coming to terms with who she is in the end, because of the way it's set up, she could be anybody. She could be in any country, she could speak any language, and so we have a lot of opportunities.
As an actress, and somebody who loves to travel, it would be nice to be able to explore the world with her."
Actress Angelina Jolie

I did enjoy the first Salt movie. I wish they'd taken more time to introduce Salt and her background though... but the film was definitely entertaining, and Angelina Jolie rocks as a super spy. So I really hope that the movie Salt 2 will be greenlit by Sony!

Do you have any suggestion regarding the plot of Salt 2?
SALT 2 MOVIE
Last summer one of the most dismal action films ever graced the screen, borrowing from Bourne and Bond but revolving around a female character that is anything like Nikita, people asked Who is Salt, while movie goers asked why Salt? Sony at least took a wait-and-see approach to extending the franchise. The results were a little bit inconclusive — the movie did all right, grossing just under $120 million domestically but Deadline reports that the studio has finally decided to proceed anyway, and has hired Kurt Wimmer to draft the next movie. It seems that Jolie is interested this time.

Do you care about a new Salt movie? I mean we saw how the first one ended [Spoiler] she is going to hunt down all the Russian sleeper agents, big deal. My biggest complaint is that these movies are just imitation films, Jolie is not a charismatic action star like she was with
