Storyline
As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker (Farrell) begins to suspect that he's a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he's on.Total Recall was resurrected for remake earlier this year by the studio and producer Neal Moritz and his Original Films. The film will be a contemporized adaptation of the sci-fi saga based on the Philip K. Dick story We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.
In Total Recall, a man (Quaid) goes for virtual vacation memories of the planet Mars, an unexpected and harrowing series of events forces him to go to the planet for real.
A ton of ass-kicking follows, and the bad men pay the ultimate price for betrayal… with THEIR LIVES! Nobody messes with Arnold, and lives, so we can only imagine the same thing goes for that scary looking mofo Colin Farrell when he takes the role for the new Total Recall remake.
Oh, we still don’t know who will play ‘Lori’ , Quaid’s wife.. you remember the original Lori was played by Sharon Stone, right? I vote for Lindsay Lohan, she needs a job, plus I heard she’s willing to go topless in the movies now. Seems like yesterday that Sharon Stone was in her awesome 80′s spandex, trying to kill Arnold in their apartment… sniff.. where do the years go.

From what I heard Colin Farrell is currently bulking up for his role in Total Recall, but don't expect Farrell to look like Schwarzenegger.
Columbia Pictures have announced that Director Len Wiseman (who directed the first two Underworld movies) will helm a reboot of Total Recall the cult 1990 movie that was starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Scriptwriter Kurt Wimmer (who wrote the script of Law Abiding Citizen) is in charge of the screenplay of this remake. The film will be a new, contemporized adaptation of Total Recall, which was based on the story, "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick. The original Total Recall movie was a science-fiction action movie directed by Paul Verhoeven, it was released in 1990. The plot concerns an apparently unsophisticated construction worker, Douglas Quaid (Schwarzenegger), who turns out to be a freedom fighter from Mars who has been relocated to Earth, and his attempts to restore order, and reverse the corrupt influence of commercial powers. Sony Pictures want to reboot Total Recall the cult science-fiction movie that was starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and which was based on the story “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick! Come on do they really have to reboot every movie? Schwarzenegger’s Total Recall was a great movie and its special effects still look decent compared to what’s done nowadays. I’m confident this remake of Total Recall will be a hell of a movie thanks the latest technologies, but why don’t they come up with a real new story? Anyway…Director Len Wiseman (who directed the first two Underworld movies) has been hired to helm the project, and Scriptwriter Kurt Wimmer is writing the screenplay.
